Pradeep Sakar is a writer and director who works in the Bollywood industry.
He began his career with Vinod Chopra Productions, the production company of acclaimed director Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
In 2005, Sarkar made his directorial debut with the film Parineeta, starring Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Balan and Dia Mirza. The film was critically and commercially successful [1], and it established his career as a director. He received many best director nominations at many award ceremonies.
Sarkar next directed a film under the Yashraj Films banner titled Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. The film was released on 12 October 2007.
Sarkar has finished his film Lafangey Parindey with Yashraj Films. It stars Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone and released in summer 2010.
